Samutprakan BangPli is a mostly residential suburb on the south eastern edge of Bangkok. It is located in Samut Prakarn, the adjoining province to Bangkok, directly south via Sukhumvhit Road or the SkyTrain. It is about 30kms from the central city, near the new Suvarnabhumi airport which opened on 28th September, 2006
Samut Prakarn is located at the
mouth of the Chao Phraya River (hence "Pak Nam" for river mouth). The
area around Samut Prakarn and BangPli has many tourist attractions
worthy of exploration.
